PRACTICE
We received an email from someone who was about to sign up with Betbuddy. What he was asking we feel was a good question and we wanted to share it on Barbtec. What he said was he had a limited amount to spend but was planning on getting a Premium account to play Baccarat. He went on to ask if once he had the account is it just a case of selecting a game and start to play or is there anything else we think he should do prior to playing.
Well, our short answer to that is, YES PRACTICE before you start, and we believe this should apply to everyone. It makes no difference if you are playing for the first time or are an experienced player, Oliver Ai is new and although it is a fantastic system you need to get to know how it performs on different systems.
WAYS TO PRACTICE
Firstly, we think people should stick to a 2-20 system for practicing for example MARS or even the Free account AWASSA, this will get you started quickly because the first bet is on hand 2. You can of course start with one of the 11-20 systems, but we feel 2-20 is the way to practice.
The next step is to login to a live Casino and select a live dealer Baccarat table. Tips on how to select the best tables can be found below on this Gameplay & Strategies page.
Look at the example table below that is already in play.
Most tables have their results in columns of six.
You can either take a screen shot of the table or write down the results from the columns on a pad.
Remember to ignore and Ties that show because in a live game you ignore the Tie and repeat the bet you made before the Tie came up.
Now all you need to login into Betbuddy and select your system, with the example above we will use MARS 2-20 and show you how this game would work out. You could use this example and play 3 very quick games.
Game 1: Start on Column 1 after the T and Oliver suggested the following. Between the player in Column 1 and the banker at the bottom of Column 2 Oliver only had 1 loser on hand 9 and we would have quit after the loser and taken +33 Units profit.
Game 2: The next game started with hand 2 in Column 3, and this was not a good game. It started with 2 banker wins but then had 3 losing hands and we would have stopped and taken a -7 loss and move on to a new game.
Game 3: This was a short game because we just played the last few results of the example. Starting in Column 4 Oliver had 4 wins and 2 losses and finished +17 units.
These games using a 2-20 system are very quick and most can be played in 10 minutes or even less.
By using this method to practice you are only using a token for each game you play, and test and you are not using valuable funds.
Play as many test games as you can and get used to Oliver and the bet selections.
You will also see losing games which you need to see because you will not win every game.

GAME PLAY – STRATEGIES

Basic Tips
1. Only play on an online Casino that offers live games NEVER go on a non-live game.
2. Make sure that the game you want to play has at least 10 seconds between each deal.
3. Check that there are still enough cards left in the shoe (card holder) to finish the game you plan to play.
Depending on what system you are playing you will need between 11-25 deals.
4. Always remember you will not win every single hand on Baccarat, that is just not possible. We will give you some tips
later how you can play and protect your betting pot.
5. Oliver will tell you each time what units should go on the next bet; we will show you later how this can be adjusted and in some cases because of table limits it must be adjusted.
SELECTING A TABLE TO PLAY ON
Once you have logged on to your BetBuddy account and have selected the Baccarat game you want to play then you could start to play immediately. What we think, and we know this through all our testing, is you should look at all the available tables and see how they are playing.
If you view the illustration below it will show you 4 different tables that were all available at the same time on the Unibet Live Casino.
Table 1: We would avoid this type of table because there are a lot of blue player wins so far and not enough of a mix.
Table 2: We would avoid this type of table because there are a lot of red banker wins so far and not enough of a mix.
Table 3: This is another table that we would probably skip only because there are too many Ties in the current game.
As we have explained before if a Tie comes up in a game you do not lose, and your stake goes straight back in your account. You then must replace the Banker or Player bet that you had placed before the Tie came up. If the table has a good mix of Banker and Player, then you can of course just play the game. Always remember to replace your bet because it is easy to forget.

STOP LOSS – TAKE PROFIT
Everyone who gambles whether it be Casinos, Football, NFL or Horses should have some kind of stop lost and take profit that they should try and stick to when playing. The basic rules for this are quite simple, have a betting bank/pot that you can afford, if you are losing then know when to stop and stick to it. If you are winning also know when to stop for the day.
There is no doubt that most people that get in trouble financially through gambling probably got there by chasing their losses and not know when to stop, and that is why you can end up going to the Salvation Army for your lunch and dinner.
GAME TIPS
When you start to use your BetBuddy account the first thing you need to remember is that Oliver Ai is exactly what the label says, he is an Ai and there is absolutely no emotion involved in his selections. When you start to play, he will tell you what he thinks the next bet should be Banker or Player and how many units, he will carry on until he ends the game, or he may finish a game early. Once you see the End Game notice then you are finished, and Oliver will stop giving you bets.
Depending on what game you want to play you will find that games like MARS will start on deal 2 and should be finished by hand 20. Other games like ATHENA will start after the first 10 hands have been dealt.
You can at any time during a game decide to stop, take a win or a loss and just start another game. This is something that only you can decide, and it has nothing to do with Oliver because if you want to stop then you hit End Game, and that game is done.
What you will see in a Baccarat game is pattens which will help you decide to carry on with a game or stop.
Some people will say that they will stop if they lose 2 or 3 deals. There is no problem with that but in a lot of cases after losing some hands Oliver quite often comes back and will finish strongly. We have played many games where we stopped before the end of the game and took the profit and that is what we call scalping.
If you decide to stop after say 2 loses then we think the best way to do that is like the example below where there was one win where we would carry on and then stop after another loss. Please remember you do not have to play every bet that Oliver suggests, you can miss a bet and just watch a hand. If you do that remember to enter the result or you will not get the correct next bet from Oliver.
This game below was played on the MARS system and is a good example of quitting a game early.

With this sort of start some people would even quit after the first loss and take a profit of 27 points and get on with the next game.
This type of scalping game is very quick, the sample above was finished within 10 minutes.

TIME SAVER TIP
If you are playing a game like ATHENA where your first bet is after the 10th deal, then this will help you to save time.
When you have decided what table, you want to play on, look at the previous results and enter the last 7 or 8 results into Oliver. Once you have done that then you are just 2 or 3 deals away from the start of your game.
UNITS AND BETS
When Oliver gives you the next bet, he will also suggest what the unit bet should be. This is something that you need to work out because most people will have a different amount in their betting pot.
Firstly, you need to check what the table limits are on the Casino that you have an account with. When you look at Unibet which have a lot of tables the table limits are usually £1 – 2500. Let’s say you want to have £0.10p as your bet size but Olivers first bet is 8 units then you cannot bet £0.80 so your bet needs to be £1. Any bet under 10 units will have to be £1 minimum.
Another thing that comes up if you are playing in units of £0.10 or anything up to a £1 is you will find you will have to round up or down because most tables have a minimum bet of £1. As an example, if your next bet is 12 units then you cannot bet £1.20 and should reduce the bet to £1. By the same token if the bet is 17 units, then you cannot bet £1.70, in this case we would suggest you round it up and bet £2.
It is possible that you will find tables that have a minimum £0.20 bet, and you could use this table. The problem you may have with this is you only 10 seconds between each deal so if the next bet is 18 units it’s not that quick to click a £1 and 4 x £0.20.
FREE GAMES
If you sign up for a Free account this will give you two games that you can play. AWASSA is one where you start to bet on hand 2. The other free game is CRONUS where you start to bet after hand 10. With both games Oliver will only suggest a 1 unit bet but you can of course make up your own betting progression. For example, you could double your bet after 2 wins and if that wins bet double again. If it loses go back to 1 unit and so on.
AWASSA will normally play less than 15 hands and CRONUS less than 11 hands, but of course you do not have to follow Oliver until he stops the game. You can stop a game at any time and then start again. Here is an example of how you can control a game. We played a game where Oliver had the first 10 winners when testing AWASSA, we bet 1 unit on the first 2 bets and 2 units on the next 7 winning hands which meant we were 18 units up. We then bet 2 units on hand 10 and it lost. Now you have 16 units profit and a choice to make, you can just stop and take the 16 units profit or try one more bet in which case we would go back to 1 unit. If that wins you could carry on to the end, which is not far away or stop and take the 17 unit’s profit. In fact, the next hand did lose so we stopped for a 15-unit profit.
Another way to play the above game is to bet 1 unit on the first 2 winning hands, then bet 2 units on the next 2 hands that won making you 6 units up. On hand 5 bet 4 units and when that wins go back to 2 units for hand 6, and you would have been +12 units. With hands 7, 8 and 9 we would bet 4,2,4 and you would be + 22, on hand 10 we go back to 2 which lost leaving you +20 for the game. The amount per unit can be anything you are comfortable with.
Most of the systems start to bet after either the 1st hand or after the 10th hand, what ones you can play are dependent on what account you have. You also have systems like CAISHEN that will start on hand 2 but will have a break in the game where you see 0 bets and then it will start again. You can play this system two ways, if you are in profit when Oliver gives you the first 0 bet you could just stop, end game and start a new game. If you decide to wait for Oliver to give you more bets you can carry on, but the bets sizes will be much bigger. As an example, we played 12 games stopping at the first 0 bet and the 12 games made + 217. As an example of what could happen, we played a game where we were + 24 after 10 hands with the highest bet at 13 units. With this game Oliver stopped for 2 hands and then come back with 2 winning hands of 36 and 35 making the total +95 at the end of the game. When you look at this game result what you need to consider is should you take that 24 points and start again or try more bets when the game starts again. In this case it worked out great because the restart bet won 36 units and the second hand 35.
Another option would be to stop after the 36 unit win and leave with + 60. If you had played both the hands and won one and lost the second, then we would stop and end the game.
NOTE: Whatever account you have and whatever game you decide to play previous results do not guarantee future results.
Be careful and always play within your means.
As we said you can make up your own betting progression, but we would advise against doubling every winning bet because that would start to look like a Martingale type system and the bets become too large and you just go into recovery mode. Try and stick to a system where you are only having larger bets from the game profits you have made and try and protect the winnings and not give it back.
Always remember that Oliver cannot win every time so always try and protect your betting pot.
